Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are a professional American football team in the Eastern Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). They are based in the Dallas suburb of Arlington, Texas. The team is scheduled to play its home games at a new stadium in Arlington beginning in the 2009 season. The Cowboys joined the NFL as a 1960 expansion team. The team's national following might best be represented by its NFL record of consecutive games in front of sold-out stadiums. The Cowboys' streak of 160 sold-out regular and post-season games began in 1990, and included 79 straight sellouts at their home, Texas Stadium, and 81 straight sell-outs on the road.Official team site with audio and video clips, team news, depth charts, transactions, statistics, and player profiles.

Texas Rangers

The Texas Rangers are a professional baseball team based in Texas representing the Dallas-Ft.Worth area. The Rangers are a member of the Western Division of Major League Baseball's American League. From 1994 to the present, the Rangers have played in Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. The "Rangers" name originates from the famous law enforcement agency of the same name.

An expansion franchise, the club was founded in Washington, D.C. in 1961 and was called the Washington Senators (not to be confused with the Washington Senators that left D.C. after 1960 to become the Minnesota Twins). The team then moved to Arlington in 1972 and became the Rangers. The Rangers are one of the least successful teams in Major League Baseball to date, being one of three teams (the others being the Seattle Mariners and the Washington Nationals) to have never played in a World Series. They are also the only franchise to have never won a playoff series since the franchise's inception in 1961.

Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks (also known as the Mavs) are a professional basketball team based in Dallas, Texas, USA. They are members of the Southwest Division of the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Founded in 1980, the Mavericks have won two division titles and one conference championship. According to Forbes Magazine, they are the seventh most valuable basketball franchise in the United States, valued at approximately $466 million; the franchise is surpassed in value only by the New York Knicks, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Chicago Bulls, the Detroit Pistons, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Houston Rockets.[1]

Dallas Stars

The Dallas Stars are a National Hockey League team based in Dallas, Texas. They are members of the Pacific Division in the Western Conference. They play their home games at the American Airlines Center. Prior to 1993, this team played as the Minnesota North Stars.

American Airlines Center

American Airlines Center was designed by David M. Schwarz/Architectural Services, Inc. and HKS, Inc. The team combined architecture and technology to give Dallas a beautiful, fan friendly venue with lots of hi-tech touches. From its sweeping signature arches to the retractable seating, American Airlines Center's unique features single it out as the premier sports and entertainment venue in the country.

The exterior of American Airlines Center is made of brick, limestone and granite and the signature arches provide an open arm welcome to Dallas' citizens. The venue has four entrances, one on each side of the building for easy access. The north and south ends of the building feature dramatic outdoor balconies at the Platinum Level with spectacular views of downtown looking over the public plaza and cityscape

Lone Star Park

Lone Star Park opened in 1997. The track offers separate meets for Thoroughbred racing and Quarter Horse racing. In October 2002, Magna Entertainment Corp. (MEC), based in Aurora, Ontario, leased the facility and acquired the operations. In 2004, it was the site of the Breeders' Cup. The seating capacity was temporarily increased for the Breeders' Cup to 50,000 people. Lone Star Park's premier event of the Thoroughbred meeting is Lone Star Million Day, held each Memorial Day with six stakes races worth just over $1 million.

FC Dallas

FC Dallas (formerly Dallas Burn) is an American professional soccer team based in the Dallas suburb of Frisco that participates in Major League Soccer. The club is a charter member of the league, and was formerly known as the Dallas Burn prior to the 2005 season.

Frisco RoughRiders

The Frisco RoughRiders (short form: 'Riders) are currently the Class AA affiliate of the Texas Rangers major league baseball club. The team plays in the Texas League, assigned to the South Division. Prior to 2003, the franchise was based in Shreveport, Louisiana, and were known as the Shreveport Captains (and, for the 2002 season, the Shreveport SwampDragons). In 2003, they were purchased by Mandalay Entertainment in connection with Tom Hicks, owner of the Texas Rangers and the company that owns it, Southwest Sports Group.[1] Mandalay Baseball moved them to the Dallas suburb of Frisco and changed their name to the RoughRiders.

They currently play at the Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco. Opened on April 3, 2003, the stadium seats 10,600 fans.[2] The stadium is both unique and innovative; both bullpens are surrounded by seats and there is a pool area available for rental just beyond the right center field wall.
